Description
Upgrade of approximately 5.7 kilometres of the Pacific Highway to a six-lane divided road between Exit 79 at Mudgeeraba and Exit 85 at Varsity Lakes. This project involved the construction of a new interchange at Varsity Lakes (Stapley Drive), the reconstruction of Mudgeeraba Creek and Mudgeeraba Creek Overflow bridges, extending entry and exit ramps at all interchanges and installing ‘smart motorway’ technologies. RoadNet was engaged by Seymour Whyte (Principal Contractor) as the temporary works design consultant for this project from project inception to completion. The role required the design of all highway and local road temporary alignments, temporary stormwater drainage design, traffic analysis and road safety auditing.
