Description

Extending the existing light rail by 7.3 kilometres of dual track, between Helensvale Train Station and the Gold Coast University Hospital.

This project involved the construction of the earthworks and infrastructure for 7.3kms of new rail, 3 new stations and 1400 car spaces over two park and ride facilities. RoadNet was engaged by CPB Contractors (Principal Contractor) as the temporary works design consultant for this project from project inception to completion. This role required the design of all temporary road alignments on the Smith Street Motorway and associated local road network, several kilometres of pedestrian detours and accesses to maintain local connectivity and temporary stormwater drainage design.
